Impeachment in the House and other news

Dennis Kucinich led the patriotic effort to impeach Dick Cheney in the US House of Representatives by requesting a floor vote on House Resolution 333.

If ever you need a real reason why Ralph Nadir attracted so many progressive and liberal supporters, just pay attention to the next part...

Nancy Palosi (nowhere near being a credit to her gender) attempted to defend her big daddy Dick and had help from Stinky Steny Hoyer. Hoyer pushed to have H. R. 333 fired back to the Judiciary committee in an attempt to stone-wall House debate on it and succeeded. Do the math: 165 Republicans and a mere 85 Democrats voted with Kucinich to get the debate to impeach Cheney rolling in the House.

Why are so many House Republicans backing Kucinich while House Democrats are backing Cheney, and Bush regime lies and other crimes? For the same reason why most Democrats in Congress are lame ducks. Most "Democrats" in the House and Senate are referred to these days as Bush Democrats. They're what we call "Republican-lite," and "Republic - rats." (Click here to learn how to replace them.)

I think, more voters affiliated with the Democratic Party are getting fed up with these Bush Democrats. As a result, according to Bob Fertik, a [Democratic Donor strike has begun (Psst! Sign the petition). Fertik wrote:

We will therefore begin a donor strike against the official fundraising committees for
Senate Democrats (DSCC) and House Democrats (DCCC) until our core demands are met.
We will instead contribute only to individual candidates who firmly support the values of the Democratic
Party and the American people, as certified by BlueAmerica and Progressive Challenge 2008.

Kucinich recently defied efforts by corporate media to discredit him to his own party and to progressives that are not affiliated with the Democratic Party. Last Tuesday's pulse poll results at Democracy for America indicate that Kucinich is favored over the other candidates. Is that indicative of a progressive majority, or are more Democratic voters finding their way out of the fog?

Welcome back ... you have been missed ... and you need a shoutbox ... lol

My question is ... where are these Republicans when we need their votes to pass other things ... or overturning Vetos on bills that really need to pass ... like healthcare for children!

Hi there

Those Republicans are doing damage control. They're like dogs, willing to turn on members of their own pack for their own selfish reasons.

As for the shoutbox, I haven't found one that I like and feel secure in using.

If Kuccinich had a prayer, I'd take a leave of absence from work and spend my every waking moment campaigning for him. He's the only politician since Wellstone that actually shares my political beliefs.

We really haven't done enough to counter the negatives used against him.

BTW ... I did see the clip on Larry King Live about Kucinich's comment about seeing a UFO. It has to be on YouTube somewhere... ;)

Yeah, I need to post a comment about that stuff. I saw Letterman's interview with Dr. Phil in what became a trash Kucinich and his wife fest right before the writers strike snapped the words out of the mouths of talk show hosts and other late-night political crackers, who must now find something else to do with their time while their brains are picketing.
